Presentation
The world of compact basses welcomes a new titan with this StingRay Short Scale in striking Charging Green (CHG). This electric bass breaks new ground with its dense yet lightweight nyatoh body, making marathon sessions easy and fatigue-free. Its 30" (762 mm) scale reduces the gap between the 22 Medium frets, making complex bass lines child's play. You'll enjoy a torrefied maple neck with exemplary thermal stability, fixed by a 6-screw plate for optimum vibration transfer to the heart of the instrument.
The passive electronics hide unexpected firepower thanks to the brand's exclusive humbucking neodymium pickup. A 3-position rotary selector gives you total control over the sound architecture, alternating between parallel, true single-coil and series modes. For those moments when you need to overpower the mix, the volume knob with push/push boost provides that characteristic extra oomph. The rosewood fingerboard with its 241 mm radius softens the attack while retaining incredible definition in the lower midrange.
The mechanics are based on a Sterling by Music Man bridge with integrated metal saddles and open-gear tuners with a chrome finish. A 38 mm wide graphite saddle ensures fluid string passage, minimising friction during dry attacks. The instrument comes equipped with Ernie Ball 2852 Regular Slinky Short Scale strings, ready to rock this little bomb right out of the box. With its discreet white marker dots and easy-access double-action trussrod, this bass is for musicians who refuse to choose between portability and quality tone.
