You shouldn’t choose an extension cabinet based solely on impedance — you should choose it based on its sound. The Supro Black Magick 1x12 Extension embodies this philosophy with a 12-inch Supro BD12 speaker, a proprietary driver with a rich midrange and well-defined bass, tuned to work in perfect harmony with the circuitry of the Black Magick series heads. Where a third-party speaker would introduce unwanted colouration into the signal chain, the BD12 extends the amp’s character without any tonal friction.
The design is straightforward: a single input, an 8-ohm speaker output — nothing superfluous in the wiring. The poplar cabinet with finger-jointed panels gives the unit mechanical rigidity that suppresses unwanted vibrations at high volumes, without increasing the cabinet’s weight beyond 13 kg, whilst maintaining dimensions of 520 × 476 × 222 mm. This 1x12 format stacks naturally beneath a standard head, in a rack or on a stand, depending on the stage setup.
The Black Rhino Hide finish with black piping and Supro Silver/Black grille visually complements the aesthetics of the heads and combos in the range — led by the Black Magick Head. The Dog Bone handle integrated into the cabinet allows for easy transport without the need for additional accessories.
