Supro - Black Magick Reverb

The 6973 valve is rarely found in modern amplifiers — and it is precisely this choice that sets the Supro Black Magick Reverb apart sonically. This power triode, a distant cousin of the EL84, saturates earlier in its operating range than the 6L6 or the EL34, with a tighter, more biting tone, tailor-made for electric blues and live rock. Two 6973s in push-pull configuration delivering 25 watts, four 12AX7s and one 12AT7 in the preamp stage: the gain stage is dense and layered, and the in-house 12-inch BD12 speaker rounds off the chain with a transducer calibrated to absorb this distinctive saturation without making it harsh.
The two instrument inputs, with their independent Volume 1 and Volume 2 controls, are not redundant — they allow you to blend two sources, two guitars or two signal levels, into a single amplified sound. The poplar cabinet, clad in Black Rhino Hide Tolex and finished with black piping, houses this dual-speaker system within an 18 kg unit measuring 520 × 476 × 222 mm. The Supro Silver/Black grille and the Black Rhino Hide and Cream finish create a deliberately dark aesthetic, in keeping with the name.
The controls — Volume 1, Volume 2, Treble, Bass, Speed, Depth, Reverb, Master — cover both built-in effects on a single panel. The tremolo, with Speed and Depth controls, modulates the volume via mechanical oscillation; the built-in reverb adds physical depth to the signal. The 16-ohm output, the two 8-ohm outputs and the two 4-ohm outputs allow for all external cabinet configurations. The dual TRS footswitch socket is compatible with the separately sold SF2 Supro to control the tremolo and reverb from the floor.
