Supro - Montauk 1x10

A single 10-inch woofer, a single 6L6 power valve — and yet the Supro Montauk is anything but quiet. This 6L6, an American valve with a warm tone and generous headroom, delivers a rich 15-watt output here, with that organic texture that simply cannot be achieved with a transistor circuit. The two 12AX7 preamp tubes and the supporting 12AT7 build an articulate gain stage, where Volume, Treble and Bass shape the raw tone before the Master control modulates its overall projection.
The in-house Supro transformer, combined with electronics tuned specifically for this particular speaker, creates a level of system coherence that is rare in this power range. The poplar cabinet — a wood with a lively response and reasonable weight — tips the scales at 13.1 kg and, with dimensions of 450 × 420 × 190 mm, fits into a car boot. The Blue Rhino Hide finish with black piping and the Supro Silver/Blue grille give the unit a bold visual presence, in keeping with the brand’s colour scheme.
The built-in reverb, controlled via Level and Dwell, is complemented by a three-way line output system — Wet, Dry, Mix — controlled by the Mix Out Level: three separate output points for feeding a mixing desk, a recorder or an external processing chain. The simple TS footswitch, sold separately, toggles the reverb from the pedalboard without interrupting your playing. The two instrument inputs and the 8-ohm and 2 × 4-ohm outputs cover the majority of stage and studio set-ups without the need for further adaptation.
