Presentation
The CM-15 Black Edition is for anyone who wants to capture warm, accurate sound, whether in the studio, in the field or at home. Thanks to its supercardioid polar pattern and 96 kHz ESS Sabre converter, it delivers a remarkably fine sound image, while effectively rejecting off-axis sound. Its large-diaphragm capsule captures vocals and instruments with near-studio definition... in a pocket-sized package.
With its three outputs that can be activated simultaneously (USB-C, 3.5 mm mini-jack and XLR), the CM-15 is suitable for all situations: recording on a computer or mobile device, or direct connection to a preamp or professional sound card. Its built-in battery even supplies the 48 V required for the XLR output. So it's self-sufficient, with no need for external phantom power.
Mobility is clearly at the heart of the concept. Lightweight (132 g) and robust, it slips easily into a bag and sets up in seconds. Its 10-hour battery life ensures a full day of shooting or sessions without recharging. Whether indoors or outdoors, it remains operational and reliable, with electronics designed to limit self-noise and digital artefacts.
Teenage Engineering has also thought about gain flexibility: a 3-position switch (-18, 0, +18 dB) lets you adapt the output level to the source, from a whisper to a guitar amp jack.
