Synthesizer

Synthesizer, sampler and sequencer, the Teenage Engineering EP-1320 Medieval blends sounds straight out of the year 1000 with a sound architecture firmly rooted in the present. Designed for composers looking for atypical textures, it includes a library of medieval samples, a high-resolution audio engine and a step-by-step sequencer called Pocus. The pack also includes the Teenage Engineering EP Soft Bag, designed to carry the Medieval without losing a drop of its digital mystique.

ARTICLE N° 97698
The Teenage Engineering EP-1320 Medieval is for those who dream of swinging a lute at a techno rave. Its 32-bit floating-point audio engine handles ambiences from another age, from Gregorian chants to coconut hooves, not forgetting dragon attacks. Each note played conjures up a memory buried between two pages of parchment.

The interface, as strange as it is intuitive, lets you shape your loops thanks to a multifunction fader, pressure-sensitive pads and a sequencing system called Pocus, which we suspect was named by a magician with a strong Gothic accent. And if the medieval banks aren't enough, the audio input and internal mic expand the sonic realm to be conquered.

To save your medieval beat-machine from ending up in a bulk bag, the pack includes the Teenage Engineering EP Soft Bag. Lightweight, robust and soft, it protects your Medieval on the move, whether you're on your way to a rehearsal, a knights' tournament, or just your cousin mixing breakcore in his cellar.

With its built-in effects, master compressor and 9 demo tracks ready to wake up the taverns, Medieval is the missing link between beatmaking and monastic incantation. Add 96 MB of medieval samples and 32 MB for your own sonic oddities, and you've got a time machine that weighs in at 625 g and runs on 4 AAA batteries.

If you're going to sample goats' hooves or beggars' howls, don't forget to check the levels via the headphones. And to make your creations even richer, a small external MIDI keyboard plugged into the TRS ∅3.5 mm input works wonders - although we haven't yet found a model in the shape of a cistre.
