The Thorn Soundlabs Bad Cash Flexible Drive is an analogue overdrive pedal designed to cover a wide variety of registers, from light crunch to more sustained saturation. It can be used as a main drive or as a boost to push a tube amp. The Drive control adjusts the amount of gain available. The Volume adjusts the output level to balance easily with your clean sound.
The Damping control acts on the amount of bass sent to the saturation stage. This helps to avoid too much bass and to keep the attack clean. The Headroom increases the gain reserve and changes the sensation of compression. The more it is open, the more power and response the pedal offers.
Active Bass, Mid and Treble EQ help to shape the spectrum precisely. The Presence control further refines the high frequencies for greater definition. The Symmetry and Class AB/A switches subtly modify character and feel, with a softer or more direct response depending on your choice.
The pedal operates in True Bypass to preserve the signal when the effect is switched off. The pedal is powered from 9 to 18 volts, with no battery option. Compact and sturdy, it fits easily into any pedalboard and adapts to a wide range of playing styles!
