Designed for sound design, UVI Asteroid (downloadable licence) combines a 7-track sample player, a built-in sequencer and customisable effects within a dedicated interface. Its library comprises 276 presets, 1,033 instruments and 38,908 samples, with sources including orchestral percussion, acoustic and electronic drums, effects, field recordings, foley, synthscapes and textures.
Each track features controls for volume, spatial panning, width, mute, solo and sends to reverb and delay. Editing options also include a transient shaper, pitch control of ±48 semitones, 4-voice unison, equalisation and multi-FX. The sequencer offers 128 steps for velocity, pan, pitch, decay, reverb and delay.
With its bus effects, Asteroid allows you to shape the ambience, dynamics and impact of the sound without leaving the interface. It runs in UVI Workstation or Falcon and supports multiple plug-in formats.
