The UVI Drone is a creative, downloadable instrument for creating evolving textures and atmospheres, featuring two layers of samples, an IRCAM Granular engine, an XY controller and LFO or Chaos modulations. To create evolving soundscapes, the UVI Drone is a downloadable licence that combines two layers of samples and an IRCAM Granular engine in an instrument designed for sound designers, composers and musicians. Its library comprises 3,332 samples and 320 presets, featuring Acoustic, Digital, Organic and Synthetic sources.
The XY controller allows you to manually animate the sound, whilst the LFO and Chaos modes automate the movements. The Swarm, Feedback Loop, Distortion, Harmonics and Filter effects offer a range of processing options, complemented by Tape Delay, Sparkverb and a bus limiter. The Gate sequencer allows you to create sequences of up to 32 steps.
Drone also features native MPE support and surround sound sources. Available as Audio Units, AAX, VST, VST3 and a stand-alone application, it works with UVI Workstation or Falcon. Its 17.52 GB library thus provides a ready-to-use foundation for designing evolving ambiences, textures and soundscapes.
