The classic '47 became particularly popular as a vocal microphone in the '60s and is now considered one of the finest microphones ever made. It is still commonly used today in professional recording studios but is very rare and expensive. Warm Audio is proud to offer such a microphone at an affordable price and is confident that you will produce great recordings with the WA-47.
The WA-47 uses an in-house reproduction of the vintage k47 capsule that was used in the classic '47, designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response. All Warm Audio capsules are made at the same location in a clean room and packed in their individual cases until they are fitted to the microphone. All capsules are electrically inspected and tested for imperfections.
Much of the sound of a microphone comes from its capsule, and the capsule used in the WA-47 type k47 is not readily produced or typically found in affordable microphones. Warm Audio is proud to use a faithful recreation of this unique component in an affordable microphone.
