Yamaha - Attitude Limited 3 Billy Sheehan Black
Yamaha's Attitude Limited 3 Billy Sheehan Black is the latest incarnation of Billy Sheehan's iconic signature bass, designed to reproduce his powerful and versatile acoustic sound. Handcrafted by Yamaha Music Craft, it incorporates advanced technologies such as an alder spline joint body and A.R.E. and I.R.A. treatments for outstanding resonance and playability. Fitted with Yamaha Custom Woofer and DiMarzio WillPower pickups with stereo outputs, this bass delivers a huge sonic palette, from punchy lows to clear highs, and includes the famous Hipshot D-tuner for rapid key changes.
Presentation
The maple neck and fingerboard, combined with a standard 864 mm pitch, ensure a clean attack and good sustain in the lower registers. The combination of the DiMarzio Woofer in the neck position and the WillPower in the centre provides a rich tonal range. Controls include a stereo/mono push-pull, master volume and a dedicated woofer tone with integrated high cut to fine-tune the sound according to the playing context.
The solid brass bridge with 4 bridges and Gotoh tuning machines with Hipshot D-Tuner guarantee stability and flexibility, particularly when playing in alternate tunings. Made in Japan and supplied in a case, this bass has a gloss black finish elegantly contrasted by a pearlescent pickguard. It's aimed at bassists looking for a responsive, accurate and versatile instrument, ready for both stage and studio.
