Yamaha - Attitude Limited 3 Billy Sheehan Sonic Blue
Yamaha's Attitude Limited 3 in Sonic Blue finish is a signature bass designed in collaboration with bassist Billy Sheehan. Handcrafted by Yamaha Music Craft, it combines an alder body with spline joint assembly and A.R.E. and I.R.A. acoustic treatments to improve resonance and response. It is equipped with Yamaha Custom Woofer and DiMarzio WillPower microphones with stereo outputs, providing a varied tonal range from deep bass to clear treble. The model also incorporates a Hipshot D-tuner for quick tuning changes. With its sober blue design and carefully thought-out ergonomics, this bass meets the needs of musicians looking for a high-performance, versatile instrument.
Presentation
Its A.R.E. and I.R.A. treated alder body gives it a natural resonance, close to that of an instrument already 'played', providing a rapid response from the first note. The maple neck and maple fingerboard, coupled with a standard 864 mm pitch, guarantee a clean attack and excellent sustain in the lower registers.
The tonal configuration is enhanced by a DiMarzio Woofer in the neck position for depth of sound and a WillPower in the centre, providing richness and a wide range of nuances. Controls include a stereo/mono push-pull switch, a master volume and a dedicated tone for the woofer, with an integrated high cut to adjust rendition to suit the gaming environment.
The solid brass bridge with 4 bridges, combined with Gotoh mechanics equipped with a Hipshot D-Tuner, ensures astonishing stability, even when playing in alternate tunings or extreme settings. Made in Japan, this elegant bass in gloss black finish is enhanced by a pearlescent pickguard.
Delivered in its case, it's aimed at bassists looking for a responsive, accurate and versatile instrument, ready to shine on stage or in the studio.
