Yamaha's revolutionary TransAcoustic technology offers onboard reverb and chorus effects. What sets TransAcoustic guitars apart from other instruments with onboard effects is that they require no external amplification. Activate the effects via the easy-to-use controls, and it's as if you're playing in an ideal acoustic environment - no amps or PA required. And when it's time to play live, you can access those same sounds via the guitar's System70 + SRT Piezo pickup system.
The key to TransAcoustic technology is an integrated transducer, a small device hidden inside the guitar on the inside of the back of the body. Vibrations from the strings of the instrument cause the actuator to vibrate; these vibrations are transmitted to the body of the guitar, as well as the air around the guitar. The result is authentic reverb and chorus - without the need for amplification or additional effects. When we first heard TransAcoustic technology in action at SonoVente, we were very impressed.
