A warm, round nylon sound that retains its smoothness even when plugged in – that’s what the Martinez Crossover 12-CB + case promises from the very first chord. This electro-acoustic folk guitar with nylon strings, from the Crossover series, combines the richness of a classical guitar with the presence of a folk guitar. Its 4/4 body holds a large volume of air for full bass tones, and its gloss finish catches the spotlight. The natural finish reveals the grain of the spruce.

The solid spruce top responds quickly and projects the sound forwards. The solid ovangkol back and sides add warm, woody mid-range tones. The 25.59" (650 mm) scale length gives the nylon strings a supple feel under the fingers. The 1.89" (48 mm) nut spaces the strings so that the left hand does not brush against neighbouring strings. The cutaway provides easy access to the treble frets on the neck.

The bridge piezo pickup captures the vibration as close to the strings as possible, whilst the Fishman PSY-101 electronics system transmits the natural attack of the nylon strings to the PA system.
