The Reface CP is a compact electric piano with 37 mini-keys, combining 6 legendary electric pianos and effects from the 70s in a stylish, compact retro case. Its key assets are the quality of its sounds and effects, ease of use, mobility, and the HQ mini-touches that ensure a precise touch and excellent response for fast, natural playing.

Presentation
Yamaha's Reface CP uses spectral component modelling to recreate classic electric piano sounds with simple controls in a small package. Based on the CP80 and other iconic electric pianos, the CP or control piano is a redesigned interface offering 128-note polyphony with 6 piano models, capable of creating a variety of vintage keyboard sounds.
The front panel of the Reface CP features dedicated buttons and sliders for all functions, making sound design and exploration quick and easy.
The voice section offers six settings, including Rhodes I, Rhodes II, Wurlitzer, Clavinet, Toy and CP80 with additional drive control.
The tremolo and wah effects are switchable and offer depth and speed controls, while the chorus and phaser offer the same switch control with depth and speed controls.
Digital delay and analogue delay are also switchable with depth and time controls. A dedicated reverb knob allows the amount to be adjusted via the depth control. Additional features include built-in stereo speakers, a dedicated volume control and an octave slider.
The 37 mini-key keyboard uses the same High Quality (HQ) technology as Yamaha's Workstation Motif XF keyboard, offering a superior feel and fast response for accurate, natural playing. The Reface CP can be powered by 6 AA batteries and offers a connection for a sustain pedal.
Other connections on the Reface CP include two unbalanced 6.3mm jack outputs, a 6.35mm stereo headphone output, a 3.5mm mini TRS stereo input and a mini-DIN connector for MIDI input and output. In addition, a USB connection is provided for connecting the instrument to a computer or iOS device.
Although there is no preset memory, an iOS app is available to work as a library with parameters that respond to MIDI CC controller data. The Reface CP electric piano is supplied with an AC adapter and MIDI cable.

All models (CP, YC, CS, and DX): Editable Master Tuning, Master Transpose and MIDI channel selection.

With this new Reface series, Yamaha revisits four legendary keyboards in compact digital formats, all equipped with HQ mini-buttons covering three octaves, speaker 2W and powered by batteries or AC, which allows the take anywhere. The four keypads also feature a USB "TO HOST" consistent iOS, an entrance and an exit to MIDI Mini DIN with adapter included, two 6.35 mm jacks on line outputs, an auxiliary line input 3.5 mm mini-jack and an input for progressive damper pedal to manage the half pedal effect.
The Reface are supplemented by applications and iOS Capture Soundmondo in Google Chrome to share sounds.

Dans son registre précis (reproduction de sonorités de claviers électromécaniques - Wurlitzer, Rhodes I & II, Yamaha CP80, Clavinet), c'est le meilleur produit du genre. Les effets intégrés permettent de personnaliser son jeu et de produire une musique très originale... tout en repiochant dans les classiques des années 60 et 70 ! Le clavier, bien que petit, est excellent.
