Avantone Pro - Bonzo Bundle

The Avantone Bonzo Bundle has been designed as a comprehensive solution for recording bass drums, without compromise or DIY. Rather than experimenting with disparate microphones, this pack combines two complementary and proven approaches: the reproduction of very low frequencies and the precise reproduction of attack and body.

The Avantone Kick microphone is dedicated to capturing subsonic frequencies. It is based on the AV10-MLF low-frequency driver, a reproduction of the famous "white cone", mounted in a birch barrel with a 10-inch mesh skin. This design reproduces the weight and physical impact of the kick drum, highlighting the fundamental frequencies that give the sound its fullness. The Kick is particularly effective at providing depth and a solid foundation, both in the studio and live.

To complete this approach, the Bonzo Bundle includes the Avantone Mondo microphone. This dynamic mic is designed to capture the attack, snap and body of the kick drum with a distinctive sound signature. Its frequency response and high SPL mean that the sound is punchy, dense and legible, often without the need for significant EQ correction. The Mondo is cast in zinc, with a brass and steel grille, and benefits from an internal capsule assembly that limits undesirable mechanical vibrations.

The Bonzo Bundle also includes all the mounting systems required for each microphone. The Kick comes with a sturdy double-base drum stand, essential for supporting its wooden body and guaranteeing perfect stability on stage and in the studio. The Mondo is supplied with Avantone's SSM shock-mount suspension, ensuring effective decoupling and great freedom of positioning.
