Studio Monitors
The MixCube Passive Single is designed as a complementary reference loudspeaker, inspired by the famous monitoring cubes used for decades in the studio. It allows immediate assessment of midrange balance, vocal legibility and the overall coherence of a mix on limited-bandwidth systems, close to real-life listening conditions for the general public.

Presentation
The MixCube Passive Single is based on a simple and deliberately radical principle: a full-range loudspeaker, without filtering or artificial correction, to instantly reveal the imbalances in a mix. This approach makes it possible to accurately judge the presence of vocals, guitars, keyboards and all the critical elements located in the mid-range.
Avantone has completely rethought the design of the classic cubes by developing a proprietary 5.25-inch driver mounted on a die-cast aluminium chassis. The paper cone is made from New Zealand pulp enriched with mica fibres, offering an excellent compromise between lightness, rigidity and transient response. The motor assembly uses low-carbon Sumitomo steel components and military specification Y-40 magnets, ensuring low distortion and stable response at high levels.
The sealed, thick MDF cabinet limits parasitic resonance and contributes to clear, direct reproduction. The base incorporates a 7mm neoprene pad for acoustic isolation, as well as a standard 5/8"-27 screw thread for mic stand installation, practical in both studio and mobile configurations. The rear terminals accept bare cables, cable lugs or banana plugs, making it easy to integrate with any monitoring amplifier.
Used alone or in pairs, the MixCube Passive Single is a formidable tool for checking the compatibility of a mix on radios, televisions, laptops and on-board systems, without having to rely on a flattering rendering.
