Static Microphone

DPA's 2011ER condenser microphone features a cardioid pick-up pattern and dual diaphragm technology. Designed to deliver exceptional sound quality, this modular mic is ideal for use on stage thanks to its ability to separate and control levels. Featuring a rear cable and advanced interference tube technology, it combines clarity, richness and sonic dynamics. The 2011ER also offers modular flexibility, allowing you to combine it with a variety of preamps to optimise your audio experience.

DPA's 2011ER microphone, with its cardioid pick-up pattern, is designed to capture sound from the front while minimising side and rear interference. Thanks to its dual diaphragm technology, it uses two miniature capsules oriented in opposite directions, integrated into a single diaphragm composition, offering fast impulse response and a wide frequency range.

This microphone is particularly suited to live performances, where it excels at separating sounds on stage and controlling sound levels.
One of the 2011ER's major assets is its modular flexibility. You can combine it with various preamps from the DPA range to customise your audio configuration. For example, the MMP-A preamp offers ultra-high transparency with an active drive for impedance balancing, while the MMP-C offers an ultra-compact version with a slightly softer sonic character.

For even more discreet configurations, the MMP-E and MMP-G modular active cables allow the microphone to be connected directly to a wireless transmitter, offering great versatility for different stage applications.

The 2011ER's cardioid design reduces the pick-up of sound from the sides and rear, which is crucial for minimising background noise on stage. In addition, its advanced interference tube technology ensures clear and accurate sound reproduction, without unwanted coloration of off-axis sounds.

It's also important to note that cardioid microphones, such as the 2011ER, are sensitive to wind noise, pops and handling noise. To get the best performance, we recommend using appropriate protection and paying attention to the distance from the sound source to avoid the proximity effect, which can increase low frequencies.
