Presentation
The DM20 condenser microphone from specialist Earthworks Audio is a top-of-the-range microphone for drums. The sound captured is exactly that of your instrument, with no coloration and absolute transparency.
It can handle up to 150dB SPL of sound pressure without any distortion, and attaches to the edge of your tom or snare using the RimMount, its dedicated mounting bracket (supplied).
The DM20 offers particularly effective rejection of surrounding sounds (-32dB). Any off-axis residue fades smoothly into the background of the mix.
The DM20 is designed with a rectangular stainless steel head that perfectly protects the capsule from accidents, such as when the wand strikes the microphone directly.
