Studio quality sound on stage is possible thanks to Electro-Voice's high-end RE520 supercardioid condenser microphone, designed for high-flying vocal applications with high acoustic pressure. It brings out the detail and richness of each voice in a seamless way.

The switchable low-cut filter has a 'flat' position for the full frequency response of the capsule, while the 'high-pass' position attenuates frequencies below 150 Hz.

The capsule, mounted on an internal suspension, is detached from the body of the microphone to limit handling noise and prevent the microphone stand from transmitting vibrations from the stage.

The RE520's supercardioid pick-up pattern offers excellent acoustic isolation. Maximum feedback rejection occurs when a stage monitor is offset 225° or 125° off-axis from the capsule.

The protective metal grille is lined with an integrated multi-layer pop filter to prevent breaths, whistles, plosives and breath sounds from being picked up by the condenser capsule.
