The EMG 91 is unlike any other pickup. It was developed for guitarists who don't want to break into their precious archtop, but who demand faithful amplification. Its non-invasive floating mount preserves the natural resonance of the wood. You retain all the sustain and harmonic complexity of your instrument.
Its Alnico V core produces a warm, dynamic timbre, with a soft attack that enhances nylon or steel strings. Built-in compensation on the B and E strings ensures good balance throughout the fingerboard. No more gaps in the middle register, just a balanced response!
The silent active preamp boosts the signal without adding artificial coloration. Battery life exceeds 800 hours. You'll almost forget it's powered by a battery. The kit includes everything you need: shielded cables, panel and endpin jacks, installation template.
