Presentation
The EMG Bajo Chrome microphone represents a technical breakthrough in amplified pick-up of acoustic string instruments. Its design combines solderless assembly with a custom-made active preamp, producing an extended frequency response up to 14 kHz. The extremely low noise level, measured at -96 dBV, ensures acoustic reproduction with good clarity during live performances or studio recordings.
The system incorporates height-adjustable individual magnetic poles. This technical feature allows customised balancing of the output level between the bass and treble strings. An integrated volume control, positioned at the tailpiece, allows dynamic adjustments during performance.
Power is supplied by two CR2032 lithium batteries, providing ample autonomy for touring and rehearsals. Pre-assembled cabling with colour-coded connectors and the included endpin jack simplify installation without permanent modification of the instrument.
This pickup is aimed primarily at professional artists working in the tex-mex, norteño and mariachi genres. Its linear response and low susceptibility to feedback make it suitable for all stage environments. The chrome finish and low profile complement the visual appeal of traditional instruments.
