The EMG 35JCS is a jazz bass pickup revisited for those who like their sound rounded and smooth. With its ceramic magnets combined with steel studs, it delivers a softer, less brilliant attack than conventional J pickups. The result is warm and deep, with a very smooth top end.
The pickup retains the Jazz Bass spirit, but in a more subdued, more fluid version. If you're looking for an enveloping sound, full of nuance, without aggression, you'll love it. The built-in EMG preamp produces a quiet, stable signal. Even at high volumes, there's no hiss or pop.
The 89 mm format is compatible with most soapbar 4-string basses. Installation is simple thanks to the solderless EMG system. There's no need for a soldering iron - everything connects neatly and in seconds.
