The EMG Fat 55 Bridge Black pickup set brings the PAF spirit to modern terrain. It has all the hallmarks of vintage humbuckers: open coils, Alnico 5 magnets and warm voicing. But it adds discreet, responsive electronics. The result: grain without hum.
The external FET preamp remains transparent. It doesn't colour, it unclogs. The midrange is deliberately flattened to avoid boxy saturation. The bass breathes. Highs slam without overdrive. In blues, in rock, even on solo, the control stays in your fingers.
The low impedance guarantees easy compatibility with modern set-ups. No soldering iron is required for installation, and the system can be integrated into a guitar with Floyd Rose or Tune-o-Matic. A 9V battery will last over 1400 hours.
The box contains all the cables, pots, screws and connectors. Every component has its place. This set is for those who want an inspired, refined timbre. Vintage at heart, but without the limitations of the period.
