This set of retro EMG Fat 55 Black pickups equips your Floyd guitar with a hard-edged duo. Inspired by the humbuckers of the '50s, it combines vintage warmth with modern control. The neck pickup shines with a mellow midrange, while the bridge delivers a clean attack.
Both pickups use Alnico 5 magnets mounted in open coils. The discrete FET preamp keeps background noise to a minimum. Output is 4.5 V on the neck and 4.0 V on the bridge. You can go up to 8 V without flinching.
The 52 mm Floyd spacing makes this set compatible with Floyd and Fender vibratos. Solderless wiring simplifies installation. The 9V battery lasts for around 1,400 hours, so there's no need to worry.
The pack includes all the necessary components: pots, cables, bus, screws and springs. Each element plays its part, without being superfluous. For sharp solos or bluesy crunches, this set pushes hard without ever blurring the message.
