Frank Bello hasn't cut any corners with the EMG FB Set Black pickups. With this PJX signature set, he throws down a pair of pickups ready to bite, growl and bang. The PCSX sends out a compact, cutting bass that's great for laying down solid lines. The LJAX, softer but not timid, adds body and grit to the neck. Together, they create a solid balance, without ever sounding flat.
The X series preamp adds a breath of fresh air. More dynamics under the fingers, less unwanted saturation, and a responsiveness that follows your playing without dragging. You can even push the system to 18 volts for even greater amplitude.

Frank Bello is the energetic bassist of thrash metal band Anthrax, which he joined in 1984. Born in 1965 in New York, he is renowned for his fast, melodic and percussive bass playing, which has left its mark on the band's major albums such as Among the Living. The nephew of drummer Charlie Benante, he is also an actor in his spare time. Committed and charismatic, Bello has co-written a poignant autobiography, published in 2021.
