This set of black Gary Holt pickups from EMG is for lovers of solid riffs. The EMG 81 in bridge position pushes through the midrange with a tight crunch. The 89R on the neck adapts to the context: massive humbucker or more open single.
The push/pull selector makes the switch immediate. There's no extraneous noise to get in the way, even on very loud amps. The 89R's dedicated preamp conserves energy in single-ended mode. Tones remain crisp, whether they're busy or more transparent.
Installation requires no soldering. The kit includes all cables and connectors. Each element fits easily onto a Strat body, with Tune-O-Matic spacing. Two volumes, two tones, a well-placed push/pull for modulation.
