The EMG H1 Bridge Black is a passive pickup that never sleeps. With its ceramic/steel magnets, it kicks into high gear right from the pick. Its 5-wire cabling gives you plenty of scope for modding. The frequency goes down to 1.65 kHz, which is perfect for heavy crunches. And it's ironless, which changes everything.

The EMG H1 Bridge Black pickup may look wise under its black bonnet, but it's not. It crunches without forcing and remains defined, even in the mix. No need for a 9V power supply. Just plug in and play.
The ceramic/steel magnet grips well. The 7.15 H inductance has something to do with it. You can feel the tension, especially when playing aggressively. The mid-range frequencies stand out, without drowning out the rest. It grooves like a rock, even when tuned low.
Installation requires no soldering iron or complicated diagrams. The kit contains everything: 5-wire cabling, IDC for ground, 500k pots, mono jack. It works with all EMG passive circuits. You can even integrate it into a VLPF setup.
The format is standard, 49 mm spacing, 22.8 mm height. It fits into all conventional cavities. And it remains stable on stage. No buzz. Just well-placed gain, ready to come out of the cabinet. It plays loud and clean.
