EMG's Hot 70 Black pickup duo has clearly been designed for guitarists who refuse to choose between analogue warmth and modern precision. Its 70s-inspired aesthetic hides a much more contemporary engineering, designed for lovers of sharp riffs, silky bends and slamming solos.
The neck pickup features an Alnico V magnet for rich, organic audio. Ideal for deep chords, dirty jazz or soaring, psychedelic rock intros. On the bridge, a ceramic magnet takes over, delivering a clean attack, generous sustain and a resonant frequency calibrated to deliver heavy duty - perfect for old-school metal or fat stoner.
Each pickup incorporates a FET preamp, guaranteeing high output without losing the finesse of the attack. Zero hum, zero buzz, even at high gain: you stay clean, even in chaos. And as a bonus, the power supply can go up to 27V if you're feeling experimental.
Solderless cabling means quick, no-fuss installation. The set includes everything you need: pickups, 25k potentiometers, stereo jack, cables, foam insulation... All you need is your guitar and your imagination.
