The EMG Hot 70 Floyd set has been designed for guitarists who want to recapture the grit and power of the rock sounds of the late 70s, without having to contend with the drawbacks of passive pickups. It's a balanced duo: a ceramic bridge pickup for attack and edge, and an alnico 5 neck pickup for more roundness and sustain. All mounted on a silent active system, with an integrated FET preamp, but designed to preserve the feel of passive pickups.
This set is specially designed for Floyd Rose-equipped guitars, with direct compatibility and a complete kit for seamless installation. It handles both big, compressed riffs and expressive leads, while retaining great clarity. No unwanted noise, even at high gain.
