This set combines a long-form LJ bridge pickup and a short-form SJ neck pickup, just what you need for standard-format 4- or 5-string Jazz Basses. It's a bit like giving your bass a new pair of shoes: it works better straight away. Each pickup has its own flavour: punchy ceramic on the J, smooth alnico on the JA, or a balanced steel/ceramic mix on the J-CS. It's up to you to choose the personality that suits your playing.
The active pickups deliver a clear, tight response, without unnecessary hum. Whether you're slapping in all directions or piano-playing Jaco-style, the audio remains clean, straight and rich. No interference. No noise. Just your groove, in all its truth.
The must? The installation. No soldering, everything is pre-wired on a volume-volume-tonality plate. Just plug in the connectors like LEGOs, and you're done. Even your stage technician could hardly make it simpler. The whole thing runs on one 9V battery for 3,000 hours of play - so you've got plenty of time to look forward to it.
