The EMG Pro-Series RA-5 kit is a pre-wired Stratocaster pickguard featuring three Maverick Five active single-coil pickups. It delivers powerful, clear surf tones inspired by Californian greats such as The Chantays, The Surfaris and Dick Dale. Each pickup has a distinct character, designed to enhance each position of the selector while retaining the comfort of passive cabling. Retro Active technology ensures a vintage sound, with no buzz or static.

The EMG Pro-Series RA-5 with white pickguard is a complete, ready-to-use system designed for Stratocaster guitars.
It features three EMG Maverick Five active single-coil pickups with Alnico 5 magnets for dynamic response and balanced tones suitable for a wide variety of styles. Each pickup has its own sound colour, designed to get the best out of each position of the selector, whether in clean sound or light saturation.
Tones in between remain well-balanced and pleasant, while the neck and bridge positions deliver clean, powerful tones that are just as suited to surf textures as they are to harder rock riffs.
The active circuit incorporates a discrete FET preamp that eliminates noise and preserves the clarity and responsiveness of single-coil pickups. EMG's Retro Active technology delivers vintage sound without the usual drawbacks like hiss or hum.
The whole unit is mounted on a white 11-hole pickguard, in standard format, for quick and easy installation without soldering. The EMG 12B stereo jack is included, as is the mounting kit.
The system runs on a single 9V battery and consumes very little power, so you can play for hours without worrying about battery life.
