Presentation
The EMG SX set features three active single-coil pickups designed for SSS format electric guitars. These pickups produce a clear, bright and balanced sound, thanks to their ceramic magnets, which ensure good note definition while retaining powerful, articulate bass. Internal EMG shielding greatly reduces unwanted noise, making the pickup virtually silent - a real plus for musicians looking for precision.
Each mic is equipped with the X Series low-impedance preamp, which provides a wide dynamic range and increased power reserve. This preamp also guarantees excellent tactile sensitivity, allowing you to express every nuance of your playing, string by string, with a sound that's natural and faithful to that of conventional single coils.
Like all EMG active pickups, the SX runs on a 9V battery (not included), which means it can deliver a constant signal, even with long cable runs. It is compatible with EMG active controls (VLPF, SPC, EXG, etc.) to extend the sound possibilities.
The cabling is in solderless format, which makes installation much easier, especially in replacement or modular configurations.
The pickup comes with a white cover, so it's easy to fit on a Stratocaster or other SSS-format guitar!
