Epiphone - Thunderbird 64 Ember Red
In honour of the 60th anniversary of the revolutionary Gibson Thunderbird, Epiphone is proud to introduce the Thunderbird 64. Inspired by the vintage Gibson T-Bird basses of that era, the new Thunderbird 64 retains all the classic elements that made the originals iconic, from the through-neck construction, nine-ply mahogany and walnut body to the recognisable Thunderbird logo hot-stamped on the pickguard.
Presentation
With its Okoume or Sapelli body and superb Ember Red gloss finish, this reference is both attractive and functional.
The straight-through neck is made from 9-ply mahogany and walnut. It's extremely sturdy and extremely comfortable.
The neck has a 60s Rounded Bass profile, ideal for players looking for a pleasant touch.
The Indian Laurel fingerboard, with its 12-inch radius and 20 medium jumbo frets with Pearloid Dot markings, makes it easy to play and execute notes.
The 34-inch tuning fork and 38 mm nut width with Graph Tech saddle guarantee optimum precision.
The two ProBucker 760 Bass Humbucker pickups deliver a deep, dynamic sound.
The control panel displays two volumes and a master tone for fine-tuning the sound to your personal preferences.
The vintage Tune-O-Matic bridge and Bass Claw tailpiece provide added stability and easy tuning.
Open-gear action with Historic Clover knobs and a 19:1 gear ratio allow precise string tension adjustment.
The double-action truss rod makes it easy to adjust the neck curvature.
This bass comes with a Premium Gig Bag for optimum protection on the move.
