The Goldring 1042 is a phono cell designed to deliver precise, balanced sound reproduction. Its glass-reinforced Pocan body combines rigidity and lightness, maintaining a total mass of just 6.2 g. This design ensures optimum compatibility with a wide range of tone arms, while controlling natural resonance.
The high-efficiency magnetic circuit, with unsupported coils and mu-metal pole pieces, delivers a powerful, clear signal. Combined with a miniature Alnico V magnet, it guarantees an extended frequency response up to 51 kHz, for smooth, detailed reproduction of recordings. Reduced moving mass contributes to accurate playback and improved cantilever stability.
The replaceable Gyger S stylus, with a 5 µm tracking radius, ensures accurate groove reading and excellent channel separation. Each cell is factory-set to a perfectly adjusted azimuth, ensuring even balance and a realistic stereo image.
