J.Leiva - Omeya Crystal

The J. Leiva Omeya Crystal Cajon never goes unnoticed. With its transparent Plexiglas frame, it's an instant eye-catcher on stage and in the studio. But this Cajon wasn't designed for looks alone. Its development was the result of genuine acoustic research carried out by the brand, which wanted to explore the sound potential of this material in a percussion instrument.

In the course of testing, Plexiglas revealed some unexpected qualities. In this Cajon, it contributes to a clear, balanced sound that easily finds its place alongside a voice, an acoustic guitar or other instruments. This sonic personality makes it a particularly interesting companion for recording, where every nuance and every detail takes on added importance.

The 3.2mm laminated Russian birch top maintains a familiar feel under the hands. Light strokes retain their finesse, while accents come through with precision. Inside, the D.T.S. system uses six guitar strings arranged in a V-shape and adjustable from the outside, allowing the character of the tone to be quickly adapted to suit the piece or mood being played.

The Cajon rests on a 10mm laser-cut PMMA chassis, complete with silicone spikes that limit contact with the floor. With its transparent aesthetics and singular sound personality, the J. Leiva Omeya Crystal offers a different experience, designed for musicians who like to get off the beaten track without sacrificing musicality.
