ST Style Guitar

Jet Guitars JS 400 Black Gold The Jet Guitars JS-400 BK G puts a deliberately modern spin on the ceramic HSS configuration: a roasted Canadian maple neck that makes a difference right from the first fret, gold-plated tuners on chrome hardware that break with visual conventions, and a 5-way selector switch that opens up the spectrum far beyond classic rock. The glossy black finish is just the starting point.

The Jet Guitars JS-400 BK G takes a classic — the ceramic HSS configuration — and tweaks it until something interesting emerges. The bridge humbucker holds the low frequencies without letting them spread out, whilst the two single-coils in the middle and neck positions open up the dynamics to airier, sharper tones. The 5-way selector switch transforms these three pickups into a range of combinations that all-humbucker models simply cannot cover.
The roasted poplar body lays the acoustic foundation: a crisp attack, contained bass, and mid-range that cuts through effortlessly in a busy mix. But it’s the roasted Canadian maple neck that sets it apart from the rest. The wood and fingerboard have been thermally treated along the entire length of the neck, right up to the tips of the 22 frets — the feel is denser, the sustain more pronounced, and the guitar reacts differently to perspiration and the humidity fluctuations of a concert hall.
The Modern C profile with a nut width of 41.9 mm remains within the familiar territory of Strats, but the 241.3 mm (9.5″) radius, slightly flatter than the vintage 7.25″, facilitates playing in the upper register without the strings flattening against the fretboard during bends. The double truss rod allows for fine-tuning the action according to the string gauge and chosen tuning.
The black finish with a black pickguard unifies the body in a stark monochrome look, which is contrasted by the gold tuners — a hardware detail that completely shifts the instrument’s visual balance. The guitar plays with conventions, and it shows.
