It all began in 1969 when two music lovers met engineers: Alan Ron Pearlman (ARP) and David Friend. They worked hard to design their first modular synthesizer: ARP synthesizer 2500. It was an instant success, allowing our engineers to produce both a portable version dedicated for musicians: ARP 2600 Adopted by immediately biggest stars of the moment, David Friend noticed that all his musicians connectaient modules in the same way. He decided to make a compact version for pre-wiring the modules according to the scheme adopted by the musicians: the ARP Odyssey was born and did enter into the legend ARP
