Marcus Miller does not limit himself to American jazz fusion. Over the years, he has developed a deep interest in African music and international cultural exchange. His album 'Afrodeezia', released in 2015, explores the historical links between Africa, the Americas and the Caribbean through music. For this ambitious project, he collaborated with artists from several different countries. Marcus Miller uses the bass as a narrative tool capable of linking various musical traditions. This approach demonstrates his constant desire to explore new sonic territories. His work also contributes to making contemporary jazz more open to global influences and multiple cultural heritages.
