Before he became world famous, Marcus Miller was already working as a studio musician in New York. Thanks to his exceptional versatility, he recorded with a wide range of artists including Aretha Franklin, Bryan Ferry and Chaka Khan. His talent soon found him in demand in the most prestigious American studios. Marcus excels at both slap funk and more subtle jazz bass lines. He also knows how to arrange and produce complete tracks. This ability to understand several musical styles explains his artistic longevity. Even today, many producers consider Marcus Miller to be one of the most complete bassists in the world music industry.
