Moog - Matriarch

The Moog Matriarch is a semi-modular analogue synth that lets you create rich, innovative soundscapes easily and without constraints. It features a 49-key Fatar keyboard, built-in sequencer, arpeggiator, analogue stereo delay and 90 patch points, and is compatible with Mother-32, DFAM and other Eurorack modules.

Matriarch's semi-modular design is pre-wired internally to produce sounds without the need to patch all over the place, and is fully controllable via MIDI. Musicians, producers and sound designers will delight in the abundance of inspiring textures, new sounds and endless creative possibilities.

Each oscillator offers switchable waveforms that can be hard-synced per oscillator, while the dedicated full-range analogue LFO can operate at audio frequencies and offers a choice of six waveforms. An additional single analogue LFO is also provided to add modulation to delays, filters and VCAs.

Dual analogue filters offer a variety of modes including parallel (HP/LP), stereo (LP/LP), and serial (HP/LP). In addition, Moog Matriarch offers two analogue ADSR envelope generators and two analogue VCAs. There are also three voltage-controlled bipolar attenuators with ring modulation capability and 2 x 4 unbuffered mults wired in parallel, for signal splitting.

The built-in sequencer offers twelve memory locations and each sequence can hold up to 256 steps with four notes per step. What's more, the sequencer can be cut out of the matrix to sequence your external hardware independently.

The arpeggiator offers switchable modes such as Order, Forward/Reverse and Random. An external 6.3mm audio input allows you to process guitars, drum machines, etc. via the Matriarch's analogue circuitry, while the 6.3mm stereo output and 3.5mm mini-jack Eurorack outputs allow connections to a recorder or PA system, as well as connecting to other Eurorack equipment for further processing.
