The MOTU M4 has 2 XLR/TRS combo inputs compatible with mic, line or hi-Z, each with dedicated preamp, adjustable gain and independent 48 V phantom power. A further 2 balanced 6.3 mm line inputs allow direct connection of a synth, sound module or external player.
Thanks to the ESS Sabre32 Ultra DAC and 32-bit/192kHz resolution, every take retains clarity and precision, even with complex sources. The front-panel colour LCD display gives an instant readout of input and output levels, avoiding saturation and approximation.
For smooth recording, the round-trip latency is reduced to 2.5 ms, so you can play or sing along with natural headphone feedback. The Monitor mix knob makes it easy to balance between the direct signal and computer playback, which comes in handy when recording live.
The 4 balanced TRS outputs, doubled as RCA, can be adapted to different speaker or broadcast systems. Mac, Windows and iOS compatibility, with plug-and-play operation on Apple devices, simplifies set-up.
The package also includes Performer Lite and Ableton Live Lite, along with over 6GB of loops, samples and instruments.
The DT900PRO-X headphones, with their STELLAR.45 transducers, reproduce a wide stereo image and a spectrum extended from 5 Hz to 40 kHz, allowing every detail of the mix to be heard. Its comfort is based on a flexible steel headband and velvet memory pads for long sessions. It comes with a carrying case for easy transport.
