Presentation
The MuxLab 500772 RX performs this function by recovering HDMI and USB streams transmitted over an Ethernet network and playing them back accurately on a remote control station.
In practical terms, this model connects to an HDMI screen and features an integrated 4-port USB hub for connecting a keyboard, mouse, graphics tablet or any other compatible peripheral. This gives users a complete working environment, without the need to be physically close to the server or workstation.
Video management covers resolutions up to 4K at 30 Hz in 4:4:4 and 4K at 60 Hz in 4:2:0, making it suitable for both office interfaces and more detailed visual content. HDR support enhances readability in environments where contrast and colour accuracy are important.
On the network front, the 500772 RX can be integrated into simple or extended architectures. It can operate point-to-point, but also in multipoint systems, where several transmitters and receivers coexist. A user can switch from one source to another via keyboard shortcuts, enabling several machines to be supervised from a single workstation without any hardware intervention.
The transmission distance is up to 100 metres via Cat5e or Cat6 cable, covering the majority of installations in technical rooms, data centres or production areas. The PoE power supply simplifies integration by eliminating the need for an external power supply, which is particularly useful when deploying in a rack or existing network infrastructure.
In addition to video and USB control, the system also manages audio with extraction and microphone input functions on the receiver side, making it easy to integrate communication or monitoring uses into the same installation.
