Novastar - MX40 PRO

The NovaStar MX40 PRO has established itself as the benchmark LED video processor for demanding professional installations requiring ultra-high resolution. Designed for managing large LED walls, it combines processing power, configuration flexibility and advanced image quality in a 2U rack-mount format ideal for both fixed and mobile control rooms.

Capable of handling 4K sources at up to 60 Hz in 12-bit, it supports HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.2 and 12G-SDI inputs, ensuring compatibility with the majority of modern video production environments. Its processing capacity allows it to drive up to 13 million pixels, making it a suitable solution for large-scale LED screens, whether for building facades or events.

The MX40 PRO incorporates advanced image processing technologies designed to enhance perceived image quality under real-world operating conditions. HDR10 and HLG enhance contrast and dynamic range, whilst internal algorithms optimise grey levels and colour reproduction. The “LED image booster” system enables better management of low brightness levels and subtle transitions, reducing the loss of detail in dark areas.

Designed for complex environments, it offers a flexible output architecture with 20 Ethernet ports for direct transmission to LED modules, supplemented by fibre-optic outputs via optional SFP modules. GENLOCK synchronisation facilitates multi-controller integration for synchronised installations, particularly on stage or in broadcast settings.

Configuration and control are handled via the VMP software platform, which allows management of all display parameters, from calibration to screen layout. It is also possible to daisy-chain multiple units to create very high-capacity systems, whilst maintaining centralised management from a PC.
