Rme - AO25 8XPRO 5m
The RME AO25 8XPRO 5m multi-pair cable enables eight analogue audio channels to be transmitted between equipment fitted with a D-Sub 25 connection and eight separate XLR connections. With its 5-metre cable length, it is ideal for set-ups where the multi-channel source is located some distance from the mixing desk, patch panel or connection rack. The eight individually labelled male XLR connectors make each channel immediately identifiable, whilst the common sheath bundles all the cabling into a single run.
Presentation
The 5-metre length offers greater installation flexibility than versions designed for very short connections. It can be used when a converter or audio interface is located in a rack separate from the console, when equipment needs to be positioned in another rack, or when the cable route needs to neatly bypass several components of the installation.
The D-Sub 25 connector serves as the channel consolidation point, whilst the XLRs provide separate access to the various audio links. This combination is particularly well-suited to production systems, studios, control rooms and broadcast facilities using multi-channel analogue connections. The numbered XLR connectors simplify channel tracking and enable the user to quickly identify the channel corresponding to the D-Sub connection.
The RME AO25 8XPRO 5m is part of the ALVA Analog Multicore range. The eight connections are housed within a black sheath 14 mm in diameter, making it easy to route the cable through a cabinet or along a rack. The male D-Sub 25 connector features a 4/40 UNC thread to ensure secure attachment to compatible equipment.
