Presentation
The SE Electronics DM2 TNT Mic Pre Black uses the same architecture as the DM2 TNT with a matt black finish, while retaining the same functionality. This in-line preamp is designed to increase the output level of dynamic and passive ribbon microphones, particularly when the gain available on an interface or preamp is limited.
It offers two switchable gain levels, +15 dB or +30 dB, allowing the signal to be adapted according to the source and microphone used. This flexibility is useful in a variety of contexts, from studio to broadcast.
The DM2 TNT Black also features eight input impedance settings, ranging from 50 Ohms to 10 MOhms. This feature allows you to adjust the behaviour of the microphone according to its impedance and type, which can influence the response and sound reproduction.
The internal circuit is based on a Class A design with FET transistors, designed to amplify the signal while maintaining its dynamic range. The extended frequency response from 10 Hz to 120 kHz allows the entire audio spectrum to be transmitted without noticeable limitations.
This preamp is inserted directly between the microphone and the XLR input of the audio equipment. It operates with a +48V phantom power supply, used solely for its internal circuitry, without affecting the connected microphone.
