The SE Electronics sE7 sideFire (the pair) takes up the principle of the individual model by offering two paired microphones, suitable for stereo recording. This configuration is particularly useful for overheads, acoustic ensembles or instrument recordings requiring a coherent stereo image.
The 90° capsule orientation allows the microphone to be positioned as close as possible to the source, even in confined spaces. This design facilitates placement on instruments such as piano, acoustic guitar or percussion, while maintaining a precise pick-up angle.
The cardioid pick-up pattern concentrates the pick-up on the main source while limiting surrounding sounds. The frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz covers the entire audible spectrum, providing balanced, detailed reproduction.
Each microphone incorporates a -20 dB attenuator to handle high-level sources, and a low-cut filter at 80 Hz to reduce unwanted noise. Power is supplied via +48V phantom power, with a standard XLR connection.
The paired version ensures consistency between the two microphones, which is essential for stereo miking. The set is supplied with the necessary accessories for quick installation.
