SE Electronics - V7 Miles Kennedy Signature

The sE Electronics V7 Myles Kennedy Signature is based on the V7, with a few adjustments to reflect Myles Kennedy's use on stage. This version retains the same architecture, with a dynamic capsule and supercardioid directional characteristic, while offering a slightly extended frequency response in the lower end of the spectrum.

The frequency range here goes down to 30 Hz, allowing more of the foundation in the voice to be captured. This extension brings more body to certain sources, particularly powerful voices or low registers, without altering the overall balance of the microphone.

The supercardioid pick-up pattern remains well-suited to live environments, enabling the microphone to target the main source effectively while limiting off-axis noise. This behaviour facilitates integration into a mix and reduces interaction with stage monitors.

The microphone's construction incorporates an internal capsule suspension that limits handling noise. The internal windscreen reduces plosives and contributes to signal stability. The special finish, with a black grille and worked appearance, sets this version apart visually from the other models in the series.

The Myles Kennedy Signature V7 operates without an external power supply and is connected via a standard XLR output. It can be used primarily for vocals, but can also be used with certain nearby instrumental sources if required.
