SE Electronics - V7 Push To Talk

The sE Electronics V7 Push To Talk is based on the V7, but adapted for a specific use: talkback communication. This version incorporates a Push To Talk button that is directly accessible, enabling the signal to be sent only when necessary. This eliminates the need for microphones to be open all the time, and simplifies management of communications in the control room.

The PTT system is based on a mechanism designed to operate without audible noise. Activation does not generate a click, which avoids any disturbance to in-ear returns, wedges or the broadcast system. This feature is particularly useful in professional environments where every sound detail counts.

The dynamic capsule combined with a supercardioid directional pattern allows clear voice pick-up while limiting ambient noise. This pattern offers a good level of off-axis rejection, which improves intelligibility even in noisy environments such as a stage or control room.

The frequency response remains identical to that of the standard V7, with a balanced, intelligible reproduction of speech. The microphone also retains its internal capsule suspension, reducing handling noise, as well as an internal windscreen to limit plosives.

The V7 Push To Talk works without an external power supply and is connected via a standard XLR output. It integrates easily into a communications system, whether for control room, monitoring or paging applications.
