Presentation
The sE Electronics X1 S Studio Bundle brings together a number of complementary elements to set up a coherent sound recording chain in a variety of environments, particularly when the room is not acoustically treated. The bundle is organised around the X1 S microphone, accompanied by accessories to improve recording conditions right from the outset.
The X1 S microphone uses a hand-built 1" condenser capsule, with a balanced frequency response suited to vocals and instruments. It features -10 and -20 dB pads to handle high-level sources, as well as a low-cut filter at 80 or 160 Hz to limit unwanted low frequencies.
The Reflexion Filter RF-X is designed to reduce sound reflections from the room around the microphone. Its multi-layer structure limits the impact of surrounding acoustics on the pick-up, particularly in domestic spaces such as bedrooms or home studios.
The included suspension isolates the microphone from mechanical vibrations, while the built-in pop filter limits plosives during vocal pick-up. The whole system is compact, easy to install and consistent in use.
The pack also includes a 3-metre XLR cable for immediate use with an audio interface or console.
